If you are in the habit of only paying back the minimum required amount on your credit card each time the bill needs paying, you are sooner or later going to end up having some problems to deal with. Its all very well to keep on taking out new credit cards and using them until they are maxed to the hilt, but what happens when you can’t get any more cards because your credit record has gone very quickly from good to bad?
This may then be the time to consider alternative options to spending all the time. As difficult as that may seem to have to do, sooner or later you will have little choice, so why not begin now.

What to do though? There is certainly no quick fix to this situation. Possibly it could take some years to get back to how things were before, who knows. However, there are a few things you can begin doing now to help make the path smoother.

The pre-paid card can go hand in hand with any other form of credit card. If you have an emergency payment to make then by all means use your other credit cards but otherwise stick with the pre-paid. There may be a very small charge when you first take the pre-paid card out but as it can be such a good aid in managing finances its probably worth that little expense.

If you have a poor credit rating then this form of card may be the only type you can get anyhow. Its not as flexible as a normal credit card - sometimes when you try to make payment you will be told that your card is not accepted. However, it can often be used to make payment on the internet, which is much better than not being able to make payment at all because you do not have any credit cards left.

But this is what you have to do, so you may as well start sooner rather than later. And the pre-paid card can indeed make transactions easier than having no credit card at all.
